Sorry I haven't written in so long but, we've been busy. We decided to go ahead and get the house we were waiting to get so we're moved in! Moving stinks. I did get to ride in the moving truck with my grandpa! FUN! We loaded everything into a moving truck and rode down to B. It took us 2 trips but, it was k. I've already made friends and we've played together on our ds's almost every day! i've got a friend that lives right next door and one that lives across the street!It's nice having people to play with on my street!!

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!

Hello everyone!
I know it's been over a month since I've written but, (once again) I have a good excuse. After my birthday was Doug's birthday and then planning to move and packing and blah, blah, blah. OH. I guess I didn't tell you I was moving, did I? Well, I'm moving. Dad got a new job and we're moving.
Is that a good enough excuse?

I got lots for my birthday! I got books, clothes, journals and all sorts of cool stuff! I won't even try to name all the stuff I got! And just to let you know, I got $72 bucks for my b-day.

We had a garage sale yesterday and the day before. We made about $150 bucks. Pretty good huh? I (Darcy) sold at least HALF of the stuff. I made $32 bucks. Pretty good huh? A lot of people said I had a future in sales. I sold a nineteen sixty something set of encyclopedias for 4x as much as Mom was asking.
On the last day we were just trying to get rid of stuff. We sold almost EVERYTHING for a quarter. I sold this little old lady enough stuff to fill the back of her pickup. I'm good. And humble. Not.

HI everybody! I KNOW I haven't been writing lately but, I've been very busy, I'll have you know!

We got back from Branson and relaxed for a couple of hours and then went to my PIZZA PARTAY!!!!! My pizza party was awesome!!!! We had pizza (duh), cupcakes and, TROPHIES!!!!! I got an AWESOME trophy!!!! It looks so cool! We had a cake made out of cupcakes and it was yummy! I had a black cupcake and the frosting was awesome! The black frosting turned our tongue, teeth, and lips black!

Our coach said that we might go ahead and have practice through part of the summer, like during the end of July through August. I'm glad we are practicing through part of summer, at least because I'm getting REALLY bored. I plan to play on the same team again next season,, too. Everybody else is trying to play on the same team next season! Our coaches said that near the end of the season is when we all "clicked" together. "Clicking" is really working together as a team. I think we are doing quite well. I hope everybody can come back for the next season. If we can all do that, then we will be REALLY good for the next season!

A couple of nights ago, we had a hot-dog roast at my grandparents house. It was a lot of fun! They had invited another family over! All together, there were 7 kids. We went on a hike and skipped rocks and had a lot of fun! We played on the swings and went down the really big slide and then we played music at my house for a while. I played my mandolin and daddy played his guitar and Mr. Ball played a couple of songs on his guitar!

Today we went swimming at Darynne's pool and had tons of fun! We also went to SDC and had lots of fun there too! "Our" favorite ride is "The Magnificent Wave Carousel" and it is SO MUCH FUN!!! We didn't go on Thunderation because about 2 whole schools came on and that was a LOT of people. They were about 5-7 graders and all the big rides, were PACKED!

Hi everyone!
Probably not going to be able to write much in the next week. There's 2 other families that were on Rayna's Adoption Trip that are here. Rayna has been having so much fun seeing and playing with kids her own age! Tomorrow we are going to SDC for the day and everyone is coming. Susan adopted another one from China and we had never met Ellie! Ellie is just too cute! I'll post pics later.

WE WON!!

OH YEAH, BABY!!!!

WE BEAT THE FIRE TEAM!! Oh yeah! The score was 6 to 4!! WE SMOKED THEM!!!!

I had 11 people from my family cheering for me! It was like a whole entire family reunion!! Aunt Lynne says that they were good luck!

That was our 1st (and only) official win!!!! YAY! We're going to have a pizza party some time and we even get TROPHIES!!!!!! WHOOP-DE-DOOOOO!!!!!!! I'M SO HAAAAPYYYYYY!!!! I hope we can make it to the pizza party!!

I got my soccer pics and I gave one to G&G C. but, I forgot to give one to G&G B.
(G&G stands for Grandma and Grandpa ).

I only played Defense and Midfield which are my favorite spots to play in. When I was in Mid. the Coach said I stopped a ball from going into the goal when it hit me in the shoulder/chest area. The girl who kicked it kicked it HARD and it HURT. BAD. (ly)
But, I'm alive to tell the story so it wasn't that bad. I didn't even have to leave the field and go over to the bench! I"M a TOUGH COOKIE!

Before the game I felt sick but, I didn't say anything 'cuz I was afraid that Mom would make me stay home and not let me go to the game. I didn't take my temp. because I was afraid Mom would see me and ask if I felt sick and she'd take my temp and see if I had a temp.

When we got home everybody ate something. I didn't eat 'cuz my tummy hurt and I didn't feel like eating. THEN we checked my temp and discovered I had a 102.5 temp.
I PLAYED SOCCER WITH A TEMP OF 102.5! I'M A TOUGH COOKIE!

I'd post some pictures but, I don't have any. You can probablyguess that I was kinda busy though.
Don't worry 'bout it though. I'll post some of Mom's photos. Although, I don't know if she'll have enough... She only took 3 GIGS OF PICTURES!!!!!!!!!

We had 3 goalies (throughout the whole game). Alex, Bob, and (the best one) Audrey.
Audrey is a really good goalie! She's about my size and she's 9 but, she's one heck of a goalie!

I really wish that this wasn't our last game. Now that we're getting really good, I wish we had s'more games. *sigh* I hope we can keep everyone that is on this team ON this team next season. I f we could, we'd be the best team around!! I REALLY wish we could play the Kit-Katz again cuz if we could we'd SMOKE 'EM!! I plan to play the next season and I hope everyone else can too.

My Silver Dollar City Trip (With Jean, Ruth and Amanda)

3 days ago I went to Silver Dollar City to see Rhonda Vincent. Jean, Ruth and Amanda were there too!
Amanda and I went onThunderation, Wildfire and The Great Galleon (4 times in a row), I almost went on the Giant Swing but, I chickened out at the last minute. Jean and Amanda went though.We went to see Rhonda at 1:30 and that was fun too! The "Opera House" was stuffed full of people! We were lucky to even get a seat! There was a line a mile long at the "Opera House" of people waiting to get in! The instant we stepped out of the "Opera House" we already saw a line of people who would wait an HOUR AND A HALF to get in to see Rhonda Vincent! One lady said that they had driven 9 hours to see her! I got my picture taken Rhonda Vincent.

I had SO MUCH FUN when we went on "Wildfire"!! The worst part is when you go straight down! I LOVE the loop-de-loops though!!! I screamed the whole time we were on there! I just feel sick when I go straight down!
Rayna wants to go on "Wildfire" but, she's too little. Rayna's favorite roller coaster is "Fire in the Hole" but, "Thunderation" is right up there too! Maybe when we go back to SDC I'll go ahead and brave "The Giant Swing" too! Amanda said that "The Giant Swing" isn't that bad.

Amanda went on the "Electric" something or other. I thought I might go on it too but, it looked too scary too! I wish I had gone on it but, maybe I can go on it next time.

We're going back the end of this month and I can't wait!

Today we played against the Wild Cats. We tied 2-2. I wish we could have won but,it's better than losing. I really got in some good kicks! I played Defense the whole time. I mean, I played the WHOLE GAME without any breaks. Mom says that this was our best game of the whole season!

Today has been a lousy, rainy day. Lisa came over but, didn't bring Violet. Little ol' Vi got into lots of trouble with her mommy. She made a BIG mess in Lisa's garage and Lisa got mad and decided that Violet couldn't come with her to my house. *HUFF*
As we went out to meet Lisa, Rayna found 3 little snails! She was very excited and brought them into the house so that all could see. Lisa, thought they were disgusting. The rest of us thought that they were all quite cool! Mom and I (of course) grabbed our cameras and snapped away. I particularly liked the itty, bitty, teensy, tinsy, little one best.

BYCTWD for me was so lousy! I got a HORRIBLE earache and had to go home. I felt terrible and missed the rest of BYCTWD. *sob* I came home and Mom wasn't home so I went to Grandma and Grandpa C's house. I laid down and slept for about 4 hours. (I think) With a temp' of 100 degrees.
I'd write more but, I'm limited on how much time I have on the 'net so I'll post more about it later.

Tomorrow is Bring Your Child to Work Day.

I ALWAYS go with Daddy to BYCTWD. You have the choice of staying with your parent or going on this tour thing that they do every year with some little theme. This years theme is some sort of construction theme thing again. I'm staying with Daddy. I ALWAYS stay with Daddy. I've NEVER gone on the tour thing. And Daddy even takes me around and introduces me to some of the people he works with! I always go see certain peoples while I'm there!

Last year I worked with the photographer and went around taking pics of each class. Each class did some sort of project and showed it to the president of the company to be "hired". Not really but, still it's kinda fun to see what sort of stuff the classes come up with! I took 400 pics and the lady I was with only took about 40! In fact I took so many pictures in each class I was nicknamed "Camera Girl" by the kids that were in there! in almost every class I was called "Camera Girl" at least once!!!!
They put some of my pics in a newsletter and at the bottom it said, "Pictures taken by Darcy C******" I was so excited to see my name in the company newsletter!!!!!! YAY!
This year I'm only taking pictures half of the day so I'll only get about hmmmm, 200 pics!
I hafta wear a skirt cuz I hafta look like a pro. woohoo. yay. I HATE SKIRTS!!!!!!!!

At the end of the day the company gives all the kids a bag full of stuff and ICE CREAM!!! (best part of day, well, mebbe not but it's still very fun part of day!!!!)

Ok. New subject. Food.
Last night I helped Mom cook a pizza that had bacon, eggs, parsley, cheese and garlic on it!! We got the recipe from a Rachel Ray book that we got at Doug's school's Book Fair. Mom bought this Rachel Ray 30 minute recipe book and thought the recipe sounded good so, we tried it!
I helped her do the pizza! It took longer than 30 minutes but, it was our first try so we didn't do so bad for our first time did we?

Ok. I gotta go do my (slimey, good fer nuthin', creepy, dirty, scummy, icky, idiotic, stupid, dumb, lice-infested, flea-ridden,) math *shudder*

All About Rivendell

Rivendell is a Australian Shepherd Mix. She's black with a little bit of red on her back. She has curly fur! She had straight fur one day then it seemed like just overnight she turned curly on us!
Rivvie's best friend is Violet.

We found her along side the road with her brother, Napoleon. We had to give Napoleon away. I think that it's so mean to dump puppies along side the road like that. But, in this case I'm glad whoever dumped her dumped her where I'd find her! Mom told me that I could pick out one of them. Rohan looked like a little black and white panda bear! Rivvie is so cute!

Rivvie hasn't really gotten into many mishaps or anything. She's a smart puppy. Rivvie likes to run races with me on my bike and her on foot (or paw). Even though I'm on my bike she still almost always wins. Not fair I think.

Riv gets car-sick real easily. She threw-up on me (and my new pants!) one time when we were going to the vets. GROSS.

Since she hasn't really gotten into much trouble I don't have a lot to write about! She's never gotten lost or shot (thankfully!) nothing bad has ever happened to her. Except for getting dumped by some jerk.

Mom told me that someone at LANDLIFE was waiting on this post. I think Landlife is a cool site!

All About Violet

Violet is a black and brown German Shepherd. She has brown eyes and a cute face. Violet isn't ours. She's Lisa's, but Lisa lets Violet come over and play sometimes. Lisa calls our dogs Violet's country cousins! Violet loves to come and play with Rivvie. Violet is just SO cute! When Violet comes over to visit us she and Rivvie ALWAYS go playing in the woods and get all dirty!! They go down to the creek and swim and they almost always manage to get into SOME kind of trouble!
Violet likes to "play" soccer with me!

I tried to train her to "Come" but, I didn't have enough time to get it done.
One time when I was just finishing up a "training session" she went over in the side of our yard and brought me a present. She brought me a five-point deer antler!!!!!!! She just picked it up in her mouth and dropped it at my feet!! I was so excited! Grandma and Grandpa even came over to see it!

Violet's Adventure's:

1. At the age of 3 months Violet managed to get lost. On a Sunday. Right before church. Bad timing. We skipped church and had a puppy search. We found her sitting on someone's porch looking at the door like she was waiting for someone to open it for her.

2. Violet fell into the goldfish pond. Twice. Grandpa had to pull her out both times. One time it was on a SUNDAY MORNING AGAIN! (When it was FREEZING cold, outside! She soon had icicles on her fur!) Why do her mishaps always happen on a Sunday. *sigh*

3. Violets latest adventure was just about 2 weeks ago. Tore up a bottle of de-icer while playing in the garage and drank some of it. Lisa had to make an emergency run to the vets and had to have them tell her what to do. Poor Lisa, She was so afraid Violet was gonna die. The vet told her to go to the liquor store and buy 190% alcohol everclear. (Have no idea what the "everclear" part means but, WHO CARES!) Lisa had to water it down with gatorade and force feed it to her poor dog every four hours for the next 24 hours straight. Lisa said that her dog had her tongue hanging out of the side of her mouth, was stumbling around and drooling everywhere! That dog was so DRUNK! "At least she's a friendly drunk" Lisa said.
We went over to our old pastor's house and told him about Violets latest mishap. Mom said that next time he saw Lisa to tease her about seeing her come out of a liquor store. So the next time the pastor saw Lisa, he did just that! Lisa told Mom that inside her head she was thinking "MONICA!!!!" .

4. Lisa came over last Monday and DIDN'T BRING VIOLET!!! WAAAAAAHHHHHHH.
She told us that Violet got into such big trouble that she didn't even want to be in the same car with that dog. Apparently, Miss. Violet managed to tear open a bag of potting soil AND a bag of grass seeds. I should have told Lisa that Violet was just trying to help her plant some grass.

Even though Violet manages to get into all sorts of trouble, She's still one of the nicest dogs I've ever known! (Even though Lisa thinks she's a wild indian!)

All about Gloria ...

I couldn't think of anything to write about and so Mom suggested writing about Gloria.

We got Gloria in March 2000 . I kinda-sorta remember it. There were about 5 puppies in the litter and 4 of them had short, sleek fur and were jumping around. Then there was this puppy that was 2x bigger and 3x furrier than the other ones and instead of jumping around she was just laying on her back tummy-up just ASKING for a tummy-rub. My Gloria is/was JUST SO FURRY AND CUTE!!!!

Even now that Gloria is grown-up she is still cute and furry.
Gloria is a 90 pound lap and furniture dog. Every time I sit down around Gloria she sits on me! Sometimes she even lays down on top of me!

Gloria has black fur, brown eyes and a pointy ears. Mom says she has some newfie in her but, she told me that a newfie has long silky ears.

Gloria's Mishaps:
1. She got lost when she was about five months old. When we found her and pet her it was like she had marbles attatched to her back. There were so many ticks that it took a long time to pull all of them off! The ticks even were filling up the insides of her ears so much that you couldn't see her ear canal openings any more. She had been lost for 6 days and 6 nights. Poor little thing *sniffle* she was just skin and bones when we got her home.

2. When she was almost one year old, Gloria got shot because some geek shot her because she was up in his pasture. Coyotes kill his cows and he blames the dogs. He doesn't move the cow corpses from his pasture and just leaves them there to rot which draws dogs and other animals up to his pasture.

3. Gloria fell in the little goldfish pond and (luckily) Grandpa pulled her out so she wouldn't drown. That goldfish pond has vertical sides and it would be very easy to drown. She still had a cast on her back leg (from when she was shot and her leg was broken) and she had fallen through the ice on the pond.

4. She almost got run-over because she was laying under Grandma and Grandpa's car. Grandpa was backing out and her paw got caught under the wheel and scuffed up some.

5. When Gloria was hunting a big, gray, ugly, mean, male racoon the racoon grabbed hold of her head and started chewing Gloria's nose off.
Mom heard all the commotion and came out to see what was happening and once she saw everything she took a stick and separated the two of them. Gloria's nose looked like hamburger! THEN, even after Mom separated the two of them and the 'coon was running up a tree Gloria jumped FOUR feet into the air, grabbed the coon off the tree and started chewing on the coon again! AAAAAAHHHH! Nutso dog. Mom separated them again and FINALLY the (no good, nasty, pizza faced, pea-brained, FOOL of a 'coon) got away while Mom HELD Gloria back! We called the vet and got Gloria all fixed up.

Anyhow, Gloria has managed to live through many experiences that would have killed a lesser dog. She sure is a good dog though.

On Sunday we had a Easter egg hunt at Grandma C's House. I found 77 pieces of candy. Actually, I found 68 pieces of candy. The other 9 were from Aunt Lynne. She gave me all sorts of yummy stuff. Peanut butter eggs, robin eggs and other stuff. Mom got my peanut butter eggs. Peanut butter eggs are some of her favorites. My favorites are the milk chocolate eggs. yummmmmmmmy!!!!

Tricky Spelling

Darcy's spelling word for the week:

REPERTOIRE

(Whenever I can't spell a word, I ask DARCY how to spell it and she almost always knows...however, I STUMPED her the other day when I was puzzling over how to spell "repertoire". I didn't know it had that second "r" in it! So, since we had to LOOK IT UP IN THE DICTIONARY (the on-line dictionary, of course!), it has been added as a spelling word for this week! I thought I would post it HERE so that Darcy would remember to memorize it and so everyone else could add it to their own list of words they know how to spell correctly! (Mainly, ME!))

On my last post I said that the next game was on April 7th. That is not true. The coach that they weren't having a game on the 7th because of Easter Weekend. I wanted to have a game even though that it's Easter Weekend.

Our next game is the 14th I guess. I REALLY wanted to have a game this Sat. );

It's the Wild Cats on the 14th.

Kit Katz...Again.

We played the Kit Katz again. We lost. 4 to 0. Again.
Jean and Kenny were there and so were Grandma and Grandpa!
Paige wasn't there because her dad wouldn't bring her. The coach is her stepdad not her REAL dad.

The match against Fire had been cancelled but never fear, there will be a REMATCH!!!!
I REALLY HOPE WE WIN.
One of the girls said she hoped it rained on the day we play against fire because the water will put out the fire!

After the game we went to DQ and we had some ice cream! Jean and Kenny came with us.
I had a yummy chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard! yummmmmmmmmmy!
There was only one problem. THEY were there. A couple of the Kit Kats *glare* were there. Daddy had to tell me to quit glaring at them.

We're playing the Wild Cats next Sat.

Newborn Bunny

Rayna just found the cutest little newborn rabbit! It was just lying in the mud, uncovered. Mom thinks that the (rabbit) mom kicked it out. You gotta feed it with an eye dropper and feed it kitten milk replacement stuff. Right now it looks like a rat with a little tail. It hasn't opened its eyes yet.
Its kind of like this except it's smaller, uglier, grayer, not as furry, and with its eyes closed.

Gotta give Mom the phone cord back now.

The Wildcats

We played the Wildcats yesterday. They were red. We lost. Bad.

The first half we had "Bob" (whose real name is Miranda) as goalie. She did good but, because she had never done goalie before she wasn't able to stop 3 goals. We lost 5 to 0. We did worse against the Wildcats than we did against the Kit Katz.*sigh*

On the second half we had Alex as our goalie (she was late because she forgot her cleats or something) and she is one of our best goalies. Alex can kick that ball really high and far. Audrey and Yessica (pronounced Jessica) were gone to St. Louis. Audrey is REALLY good at goalie even though she is small.
Yessica is really good at taking that ball and kicking it downfield. I do best on defense.

We have practice every Monday and Friday at 5:30 every week. No matter what!

We are playing Fire,

on field #7, on the 31st of March, at 10:00 am.

I started soccer just um...2 weeks ago. I think.
Our team is called The Prowlers. I like the name. I wanted to be The Twisters.
Our team color is burgandy. My number is the (un)lucky thirteen!
There are 14 players on my team. The coach said that 8 of us have never played soccer before!

We played our first game on March 17th. The opposing team was the Kit Katz. They were red. We lost.): It was 4 to 0. But, I'm on a recreational team and we were playing competitive teams. I don't think it's fair to let competitive teams drop down to the recreational league.
My coach said that since half our team have never played soccer that we did VERY well. (Not to mention that they've been together for 3 years!) The Kit Katz have taken 4 players that were going to be on our team and put them on their team.
*huff*

Our second game was on March 18th. We played some team called PH Hinton, I think. They were purple.
We lost, again. ): It wasn't so bad this time though. We only lost 2 to 1 this time.
The purple team was slapping and pushing my team around. The person that pushed one of our team (on the back and didn't get the whistle blowed on 'em) got hurt enough that the ref had to blow his whistle. I wasn't feelin' bad for her.
About two minuets after she went over to the bench ANOTHER of her players dropped!
Even though we lost we still had fun.

Our next game will be against The Wildcats.
